HOW CAN I READ A FLUID-O-TECH LABEL?
All Fluid-o-Tech products have an “Identification Label” affixed to them. This label identifies the product by:
Product code
Production date code
Serial number
Please, refer to the example “See label layout”

WHAT IS THE WARRANTY ON MY PRODUCTS?
Every pump series has its own warranty, you can find and download it in each products preview.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE STANDARD AND THE BALANCED BYPASS? WHEN DO I NEED TO USE ONE OR ANOTHER?
The standard bypass is suggested when the pump is connected to a tank at atmospheric pressure or, when connected to the line, if between the line and the pump inlet it is installed a pressure regulator. In case a pressure regulator is not installed between the line and the pump, if the pump is equipped with a standard bypass, when the inlet pressure raises the bypass setting pressure increases of the same value.
The balanced bypass is suggested when the pump is connected to the line and no pressure regulator is installed between the line and the pump inlet.

HOW CAN I SIZE THE CORRECT MOTOR FOR MY PUMP?
HP requirements

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE SPRING IN THE OUTLET PORT?
It acts as a filter to prevent the bypass poppet from entering the circuit, in case the spring installed in the open bypass breaks.

IS THE BUILT-IN STRAINER SUFFICIENT TO PROTECT THE PUMP FROM THE IMPURITIES IN THE WATER?
No. The strainer protects the pump from large impurities but not from the small ones. A 10 μm filter needs to be installed to protect the pump. For more details see our operating instructions.
