We are seeking a highly motivated Indirect Buyer to join our team.
Reporting to the Group Procurement & Supply Chain Manager the Indirect Buyer will be responsible for the following activities:
- Support the Group Procurement & Supply Chain Manager in defining indirect purchasing strategies and implementing cost reduction activities;
- Constantly researching and evaluating possible new suppliers to meet the organisation's standards in terms of price, quality, service and reliability of supplies;
- Take care of cost analysis, reporting activities, monitoring and improvement of assigned KPIs;
- Negotiate, finalise and i manage contracts with suppliers ensuring cost optimisation within the assigned budget;
- Ensure that the commercial and logistical conditions agreed with suppliers are constantly updated in the Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP System;
- Checking the availability of purchased goods in compliance with company requirements and monitoring any changes in order to implement them promptly;
- Solicit suppliers to guarantee expected delivery times;
- Verify any deviations between agreed prices and invoiced prices;
- Act as a liaison and promote collaboration with other departments and in particular with the Mechanical Processing department in solving technical problems related to the purchase of materials and services;
- Improve projects related to technical indirect purchasing of materials and services.
Position requirements:
- Degree in Engineering;
- Preferable knowledge of topics related to machining processes and technologies i.e. tooling, use of oils, etc.; Good analytical skills, structured approach to managing...
