INDIRECT BUYER

Fluid-o-Tech is an Italian based leading Company highly specialized in the design and manufacturing of positive displacement pumps, smart proportional valves, sensors, and fluidic systems.

The company serves a range of industries including automotive, food and beverage, medical, water treatment, renewable energies and industrial.

We are seeking a highly motivated Indirect Buyer to join our team.

Reporting to the Group Procurement & Supply Chain Manager the Indirect Buyer will be responsible for the following activities:

• Support the Group Procurement & Supply Chain Manager in defining indirect purchasing strategies and implementing cost reduction activities;
• Constantly researching and evaluating possible new suppliers to meet the organisation's standards in terms of price, quality, service and reliability of supplies;
• Take care of cost analysis, reporting activities, monitoring and improvement of assigned KPIs;
• Negotiate, finalise and i manage contracts with suppliers ensuring cost optimisation within the assigned budget;
• Ensure that the commercial and logistical conditions agreed with suppliers are constantly updated in the Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP System;
• Checking the availability of purchased goods in compliance with company requirements and monitoring any changes in order to implement them promptly;
• Solicit suppliers to guarantee expected delivery times;
• Verify any deviations between agreed prices and invoiced prices;
• Act as a liaison and promote collaboration with other departments and in particular with the Mechanical Processing department in solving technical problems related to the purchase of materials and services;
• Improve projects related to technical indirect purchasing of materials and services.

Position requirements:

• Degree in Engineering;
• Preferable knowledge of topics related to machining processes and technologies i.e. tooling, use of oils, etc.; Good analytical skills, structured approach to managing...
• Excellent analytical skills, structured approach to managing activities;
• Effective negotiation skills;
• Aptitude for working in a cross-functional perspective;
• Strong propensity for continuous improvement of both purchasing processes and results;
• Strong motivation to make an effective impact in the organisation;
• A good knowledge of both italian and english language
